The artist thinks that water is an amazing medium and she enjoys trying to capture it's movement, depth and colours.  Gianna painted this painting while living on the Isle of Bute. The shoreline in the distance across from the Firth of Clyde, is the mainland and the crashing wave was close to her while she was standing on the Bute coastline.
